STORY BEHIND - TOMAZ WINES

The Tomaz winery is located at the foot of the wooden town of Motovun, on the slopes of which our 22 hectares of vineyards are spread.

Annual production reaches up to 150,000 bottles, and Malvazija Istarska and other autochthonous varieties such as Teran and Muscat predominate. Among the other varieties, Merlot stands out, and we make Rose and sparkling wine from Terano.

The advantage of the wines of the Tomaz family are the micro-climatic conditions where the Mediterranean and continental climates combine, which promotes very different temperatures during the day and at night, which favors quality ripening of the grapes and refines the wine with a very intense aroma.
